Character Breakfast

Post by CapnBarbosa » Sep Tue 28, 2010 9:49 am

Which is the best character breakfast for character interaction (Mickey is most important)?

Which is the best character breakfast food?

Thanks!

If Mickey is important, you may have to go to Chef Mickey's. I personally have not eaten there at breakfast, but the interaction was fine with all the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald). My favorite, though, is the Garden Grill. However, this is a Character Lunch and Dinner, not breakfast. I had more fun with the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale) here than at Chef Mickey's.

I've eaten breakfast at Chef Mickey's, but only in California. I don't know that we ever saw Mickey Mouse there, but we did see Snow White, Donald and Goofy. The food was ok, definitely not worth the price unless you are a huge eater!
We've also had a snack at the Garden Grill. The characters there are really great and take a lot of time to visit each table! The ice cream sundaes we had were delicious :D

For Mickey, definitely Chef Mickey's. For food, Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are about the same from what I remember but with Crystal Palace, you are already in the park and don't have to worry about getting back into a park afterwards.

And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

There was a big discussion about Chef Mickey's on another thread recently (can't remember which one, exactly....), and it was a complaint that Mickey no longer circulates, and that you have to pay extra to get a picture with him. From what I understand, that was a test, and supposedly things are going back to normal now. But it's still kind of "iffy" as far as I'm concerned. We have an ADR there for December, and I don't know what to expect now.

On the other hand, we love Crystal Palace! The interactions with Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore, and Piglet are great, and they even do a little parade for the kiddies to join in. Plus the food is awesome, and there's plenty of variety. We always have a great time there, and I'm always disappointed if I can't go more than once on any given trip. :D

I totally agree with this. But I'd say if it's younger kids, do Chef Mickeys, and if they're older, Garden Grill.

Or if you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts, Cape May Cafe has a character breakfast as well.

If you want Mickey you are pretty much limited to Chef Mickey. If you want to just have characters, then I would HIGHLY advise taking the trip over to the Grand Floridian for 1900 Pare Fare. I honestly think you will have a better time there than you would have at any place with Mickey. Also Mickey is pretty easy to find in the parks. The Mad Hatter is not as easy to catch in the parks.

For us its Tusker House. We love to see Mickey there and the food is plentiful and good!
