For us, that would be the ideal time. The parks are decorated and yet the crowds are still small. That is when we would go to DL.
But alas, it will be very difficult for us to ever go that time of the year.
(as it stands, if we get to go to DL, it's a 1 day trip and we haven't gone for 4 years...we used to go every year)

Late August. With lots of breaks. In fact, we usually do a sitdown meal midday to get out of the heat.Amy wrote:Wow! You brave Florida in August?! This can be said about a large group of people from basically anywhere.Amy wrote: I think I put that on a thread elsewhere ~ the up-easterners seem to be a little more rude and loud, or they just seem that way. Not to stereotype, they're not all that way, but it seems like a lot of them can ruin the experience...just like the BTG, some of those kids are very nice but a lot of them aren't

Re: When to go to WDW?
I had believed that early January wouldn't be very crowded, since everyone would have spent all their money during the holidays. Boy, was I wrong. In early January, every park was very crowded. Even EPCOT, which handles large crowds very well, was wall-to-wall people. A CM at Mission:Space explained that, since our winter is the Southern Hemisphere's summer, January is their vacation season. I didn't notice any tour groups, but there were lots of folks speaking Spanish and Portuguese. I didn't see any bad behavior, there were just lots of people.

I don't know if anyone else on here has tried it, but we have been several times on Mother's Day and the parks were ghost towns.

Now, what's up with that? DD and I were at Universal last Mother's Day and had a great time... except when she convinced me to ride the Hulk 3 times in a row. It took me a while to recover after that (nothing like a Cinnabon to perk you up, though). Anyway, I can't imagine a better Mother's Day than one spent riding Splash.NaCler wrote:I don't know if anyone else on here has tried it, but we have been several times on Mother's Day and the parks were ghost towns.

I find that early January is when the parks are the least crowed but it still has the decorations up.

My Mom would think that was an absolutely fabulous way to spend Mother's Day!momeja wrote:Now, what's up with that? Good thing you didn't have the Cinnabon before the Hulk!

And, yes, no Cinnabons before the Hulk. Definitely.
