Wow. Animation is good. Wonder if this was done by Disney or the Oriental Land Company.

On a side note, I would love to see a Disney Pictures animated movie done anime style!

That's very cool! One of my piano students draws anime very well and that is her dream ~ to become a Disney animator...I'll have to remember to show her this link ~ she'll be thrilled!

That is fabulous. I must show it to my 16 yo daughter. She loves anime and loves Disney. I'm sure she'll love this.

Madeye, Disney already distributes all the Studio Ghibli films. Much as I love Disney, I can't imagine they could do anime better than the master Miyazaki.

Yeah, but Disney tend to add silliness to them, too. Like the rock-ish song at the end of Ponyo and the Pop-style song at the end of Arrietty, which is a shame since both films had awesome songs in them already

Mind you, Disney don't distribute them in the UK, StudioCanal do that over here. We got a completely different English dub for Arrietty over here (and out on Blu-Ray a couple of months before Disney released it to cinemas in the US - I've had the Blu-Ray since January ) which did keep the original songs (Although often the StudioCanal release over here is the Disney dub)

Having said that, I watch Anime in Japanese with subtitles as a rule, so I don't have to put up with the silliness

I generally don't like anime very much either but for some reason, I liked it in this ad.

I have enjoyed the work of Studio Ghibli, but much of the other Anime I've seen...mmm, not so much. This ad works well for me and has a much softer, dream-like quality to it. The diffused pastel colors are a good choice for telling the story. I also think it's appealing because, well, isn't it a bit autobiographical for many of us?

I'm with Soarin on this one. I've never really liked anime anything but I do like the concept of this ad. She makes memories as a little girl, meets a guy, marries him and grows old together with him at Disney every step of the way. Cool, thanks acp!
