I like that TDL is donating money to the Red Cross for every guest visiting the parks. That is a nice goodwill gesture from a company to the community!

I'm surprised they would donate it to an american org. rather than a japanese org. It's nice that people are more willing to give for the Japan quake than the Hati quake though. EA's donor drive just crossed the million dollar mark.

Isn't the International Red Cross based in Geneva, Switzerland?

If that's the one they are using, then yes. There was the huge holdup though with American Red Cross donations.

Sorry, I guess I didn't type out the whole thing ~ it is the Japanese Red Cross Society...
From the MiceChat update...
It was also announced that 300 yen (approximately $3.60) of every park admission purchaced would be donated to the Japan Red Cross to suppor the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts.

That is really nice that they are giving to the Japanese Red cross. I hope that enough people are able to come that it makes for a really good donation. my heart truly goes out to everyone who was affected. Do we know if there are any members here that are/were in Japan at the time?

None here but there were other sites with members that were at the resort during the quake and posted live streams or whatnot (implying they were fine or died and became zombies).

I was just reading the latest MiceChat update about the Easter egg hunt in TDL. Those character eggs are very cute :D

If they became zombies, then at least they can find a job at parks during the Halloween season... :mickey:

Well... the Zombie is the American horror creature, Europe has Vampires, and Japan has mutants. :D They only got hot for zombies as part of their import of western culture.

Actually, I thought Zombies originated from Voodoo religion, and even can be traced back to Africa... :?: :?: :?:

I mean in the terms of the symbolic monster, the zombie is the allegory of the american consumer herd mentality and endless hunger.
