Dunno if anyone reads this, *BUT*

Anyone have any idea how I'd make such a trip, if it's my first time in that hemisphere, and I don't get any personal transportation other than my own feet? ^^;;

depending on where you are staying (a long way from that link you provided) you could check and see if the train goes that way. I found Paris to be one of the easiest cities to get around using the metro (subway), buses, and lots of walking. People were very friendly to me since I at least tried to converse with them in French too :D (Most of them would chuckle and ask in English how they could help me, but my earnest attempt at French helped break the ice)

From Paris, you can take the RER A line out to Disneyland Paris (RER is the regional rail lines). Believe or not, most people in France can speak English, just be polite, patient, and friendly. It's been some time since I've been there, but contact acp (a.ka. Andy) here on subsonic. I think he's there now, and, if I recall correctly, has been there three times before that. Andy would have the most up-to-date info about Disneyland Paris. He could answer your questions - that is, once he gets back.

Well, I probably should provide a bit more detail then ... the hotel at B is where a conference I'm supposed to be attending is being held. I'll have to be at B no matter what. However, given that I have a couple days available immediately before said conference, I figured I could fly into Paris, spend a couple days at DLRP, and then find some sort of transportation to Saint-Malo. Said transportation is my current challenge ... I'll try to swing onto IRC and poke Andy a few times, see what happens :P

Remember, Andy is currently at Disneyland Paris, so you may want to send him a PM and hopefully he will respond when he gets back.

...such is true...but I don't have horribly much time to plan this, so if anyone else has ideas, I'm ... ahem ... :mickey:

You might call the hotel you will be staying at and ask them directly. They could tell you the best train, or if a rental car would be needed. Definitely take the time to go even if it takes a little work...and take pictures, and write a trip report when you return!

I agree with mindflipper...

Though I have never been there, I have at least looked into it a bit since it's a trip I'd like to take someday. It seems as though there are trains to just about everywhere.

But like everyone else said, Andy will be your best bet.

If you can't wait for Andy, then do as Amy suggested and contact the hotel. Ask for the conceirge. Hopefully, he speaks english and can help you out. Some hotels have local travel agencies they can recommend to help too.

You're traveling across France, and I still think you're best bet is the trains instead of renting a car and driving. Alternatively, maybe try contacting Disneyland Paris to see if they have any way to help (or can refer you to someone who can)?

Addendum: I just check www.raileurope.com, and there are no direct schedule lines between Disneyland Paris and your location. You will need to divide into at least 2 trip. Go to the rail europe website and play around with it and maybe you can work it out there. Good luck.

IM FEARLESS: can you tell us what you finally figure out when or if you're going to be able to do that travel?
