The original space moutain music was much better than the new.
Before the changes you could see the inside of the attraction while queue. Now it's hidden :(

I have never been to DLP, and probably never will :( pictures are probably the closest I will get to being there.
I really enjoyed the photos, thanks for sharing them.

hey, i'm real surprised reading the reactions on the differerent disneysites around the net. Most people seem to love mission 2 and say that its better than the original...

i like the mission 2 more now!
have seen the on-ride vid! from mission 1(de la terre à la lune) and mission 2 (supernova).
i realy think 2 is better than 1!
ive been on first mission, i thought it couldn't be better.. but now i realize it can :P
wanna see the vid? goto the videovault from www.dlrp.co.uk or directley to the vid http://www.videovault.chrismedia.co.uk/smahistory.html

It's a Space Mountain: a history! so first the first mission then the rebuild and grand opening with worlds best dj Tiësto, then you can see mission 2, Supernova!

hope you like it! (I do ;) )

Hi, I'm from Paris, and for sure, I prefer the mission 1, but now, we are at mission2, and we must accept this.
But it's not bad ! I like too this new theme of SM ...

Ps : sorry for my bad english ....

My dilemma, do I like the retro feel of the original Space Mountain, or would I prefer the newly updated look and feel of the Paris version? Do you think Orlando will ever revamp the original, and would you be for or against it?

I'm really torn, were I making the decision, I would keep it as it is. But for younger people, the look is very outdated, and they have no reason to appreciate the historical aspect of the design.
I don't exactly wish Orlando would redo the whole thing, maybe just update it a bit? What the Orlando Space Mountain really needs is some music (this is just my opinion!), others get it, why don't we? :( And for goodness sake they need to get rid of the DL Space Mountain music in our exit area, it drives me crazy, thats DL Space Mountain music, not ours! Anyhow, I do love the retro feel, just some music would be nice.
:)

I like the space mountain in Florida! My mum used to go on that one with us, but she always refused to do the one in Paris! Having said that it would be nice to have one decent rollarcoaster in the Magic Kingdom. I'm not saying I want a whole park of them, but one would be nice.

WDW's space mountain definitley (sp?) needs on-board music. Even if it's not synchronized to the ride, it would be great to be able to hear something other than the ride and the screams.
