I forget, does TDS get cold enough for the water to freeze?

I have to say, it was so odd to see the riverboats at DLRP stuck in the ice.

I'm sure it can get that cold, but the Japanese would have some sort of way to keep the water from freezing. They wouldn't want ice to ruin the show :shock:
Do you have photos from DLP of the boats in ice? That would be interesting to see.

Don't worry, Japanese people are so techy. I'm sure they have some sort of high tech secret gadget to prevent the ice from freezing. :)

As you can imagine, it's really not good for the boats (people have posted images of post thaw damage).

I don't think Japan would bother too much about it since I think the holiday shows are mostly on land.

Well, the one show, Candlelight Reflections, at Tokyo DisneySea was all in the lagoon. I don't think they have it anymore though...
Yeah, I'm sure a boat being frozen in the ice is really bad for the hull. Probably not as damaging as if they were to try to navigate through the ice ~ like the Titanic :shock:
