+ inside your room at the Santa Fe
+ the grounds and common areas of the Santa Fe & other resorts & maybe if you could take a peek in a room at any other resorts (maid happens to leave a door open or whatever)
+ Discoveryland in general
+ Fantasyland in general
+ it's a small world
+ Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant

...that's all I can think of for now.

If you can get some pics of anything unique for the 15th anniversary, that would be cool. Especially close-ups of the caharcters on the castle. I loved when they did that at WDW and I'm interested to see what characters they picked for Disneyland Paris. :)

I would like some pictures of the parade lighting towers. If you can lighting for the castle. A picture of the hub stage. A few of the units in the parade. A nice front shot of the castle, and one close up of the 15th sign on the castle.

That shall do.

Well.. I'm back :)

I'm in the process of sorting the almost 1000 photos I took out to put on my website. In the meantime, here's a few "teaser" type things:

http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/mainstreet.jpg
http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/mickey-minnie.jpg
http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/mickey-minnie2.jpg
http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/dragon.jpg
http://www.andrewpoole.org.uk/stuff/dragon2.jpg

I must confess, I forgot to take the list of requests from this thread with me, so it was from memory that I did them. I think I got the majority of them, though.

Some observations I made follow..

Smoking is allowed anywhere in the park except inside attractions. It's kind of annoying.

When characters come out, there's a huge huddle to try and get photos/autographs instead of queues as at most of WDW.

Space Mountain Mission 2 is fantastic

Pirates of the Caribbean is longer than the WDW one and has a lift hill and two drops. Jack Sparrow has not been added to the attraction as recently rumoured around various sites.

You can see the Tower of Terror from various places in Disneyland Park.. Including Fantasyland.. Not sure it fits in the view from there, but.. http://gallery.andrewpoole.org.uk/displ ... =65&pos=31

Extra Magic Hours are really quiet. Some places you could look 360 degrees aroudn you and not see *anyone*. Also we managed to walk right on to Space Mountain Mission 2 without waiting at all.. Straight through the queue and onto the ride.

The new parade floats are scented. As they go past, you can smell them. For example, you can smell the roses on the Princess' float.

During the parade stops, streamers are shot from the floats at the end of the song. This seems to cause slight problems with children running into the street to collect the streamers. As a result of this, the cast members aroudn the parade run very quickly to grab them before the children do, and keep the children on the sidelines.. The cast then distribute the streamers among the crowds. Several trees along the parade route have streamers stuck in them, and guests can be seen just after the parade/candleabration trying to climb/reach them. Often being told off by the cast.

The studios are more construction walls than anything else at the moment. Cars Race Rally and Crush's Coaster aren't open yet, although I did get on a soft opening of Cars Race Rally. The Tower is coming along nicely, and framing is up for the buildings surrounding it. You have to go all the way around through Toon Studios area to get to the Tram Tour right now due to this construction. The Disney Channel Studio is now closed and the parade route shortened due to construction. I can't see any way of spending a full day in that park right now. We did the park in half a day and went back to Disneyland Park.

The longest line belonged to Autopia.

The shortest line was Space Mountain on the Extra Magic Hours. Even during normal hours, Space Mountain barely reached 15 minute waits.

Star Tours is identical to the one at Disney-MGM Studios, both the queue area and attraction itself. The droid driving your starspeeder speaks in French, but the film's voices (such as the X-Wing pilots) still speak in English. I felt the ride was a little more violent in its movements than the WDW one.. Might just me me, though. I thought it seemed to more slightly more.

Legend of the Lion King is very popular. You have to get (free) tickets from near Discoveryland Station to watch it in the theatre. We managed to catch a performance (albeit a French one - they do French and English performances alternately) when eating in the Hyperion. It looks a very good show. We didn't catch an English performance.

That's all I can think of right now. No doubt I'll think of more later. Any questions etc, post here and I'll answer them :)

WOW!! VERY NICE PICTURES!!!

love them all :) :!:
the horses are only during the summer magic seasons, when it is not too cold and not too hot for them horses.
and Parade lighting towers also comes out of the little popcornhouses when candleabration or fantillusion will be performed. you can't see these lighting towers, they appear 5/10 minutes before the show or parade begins.
but these "special" lightning towers are almost only used on night time shows and parades like Fantillusion, Candleabration in night or The Enchanted Fairytale Ceremony during Christmas. they actually pop-out of the little houses ;)

really cool pictures :D

Just started to go through the pics acp and I love them. Thanks for the hotel photos - I just went to Santa Fe and the theming looks perfect! In comparison to a WDW hotel, where would you rate this one (All Star, Moderate?)?

To be honest, I don't know. I've never been to any of the WDW hotels, so can't really do a comparison. The Hotel Santa Fe is the most basic value hotel at DLRP, so I guess you'd compare it to whatever the most basic value hotel at WDW is..

Thank acp, awesome pics. I definitley need to visit Disneyland Paris someday, it's definitley the nicest looking. Especially dlrp's fantasyland. It makes wdw's look like a carnival. The banners on main street are really cool also.

Value resort! Sorry, couldn't remember the official term yesterday, so I just came up with All Star. Good to know for my someday trip to Paris.

Edit: Say Andy, would it be alright if I stole a picture for my desktop? Some of them are just too good to pass up! I'll be sure to give you credit to anyone who asks, but I totally undertand if you want to keep them for yourself.
