I guess they see the 15th anniversary as the ultimate chance to boost the park's activity....hope it'll work !

Update from Disneyland Resort Paris official:

The new Disney’s Once upon a Dream Parade won’t only be a feast for the eyes and ears, but for the nose too! It’s amazing what technology can do! Not only will you see and hear the floats (and believe me, you’ll hear them!), you’ll also be able to smell them to.

For every float:
Image

At the beginning, Olfact’air lent its fragrance expertise to the Walt Disney Studios show “Lilo and Stitch catch the wave party”. It went well, and so the partnership continued the following year with the “Kids Carnival” in the Disneyland Park.
The basic technique is the same each time: using a secret process, the company transforms a liquid essence into a gas, without heating and without additives, to avoid altering the smell.
This technology, which diffuses the smell, involves constraints in terms of manufacturing original fragrances…In other words, it’s not a case of anything goes!
Let’s go back to the Disney’s Once upon a Dream Parade.
François Leroux, Vice-Chairman of the Entertainment department in Disneyland Resort Paris, asked Michel Caffon to come up with a way of perfuming the floats. The idea may be attractive, but it raised a number of problems for Olfact’air technicians.
They remembered an experiment that had been done, three years ago: the “Scenty-Car”, which was basically a car that smelt good.
Technically, it involves perfuming swirling air. As a float moves, the aromas need to be concentrated for a given time, otherwise all the smells of all the floats will mix together (just think of a large perfume store on a busy day!) A number of tests were thus carried out by Olfact’air, with the first trials made by Jean-Claude Gigodot, the “Nose” put forward by Michel Caffon, who created the odours to be used for the Parade, on a testing machine.

After that, to find out what happened, you need to watch the video of the man in question (to appear soon on the official Disneyland15 Blog.). But I can already tell you that 150 perfume samples were made before getting the final results.
In all, it took six months of work with Olfact’air and Jean-Claude Gigodot and the Disneyland Resort Paris Entertainment teams. The smell of success is sweet!

Grand farewell for the Wonderful World

Grand farewell for the Wonderful World

The Wonderful World Of Disney Parade is no more, never to return again. The final "Catchy Rhythm" was danced in grand style on Friday, 23rd March 2007, bringing to an end a nine-year chapter in the resort's history.

The Wonderful World of Disney Parade became a Disneyland icon, the quintessential mix of everything which makes a Disney parade so wonderful. And, although it faced many changes along the way, its spirit was never lost due to its undying popularity with the public.

And so, the final farewell performance of a real Disney classic. With no "Farewell Season" in the style of Main Street Electrical Parade, it all came down to Friday's big goodbye to see the show off in style. For one day only, every parade Cast Member available joined the parade filling any role possible - the cast was so large and so spectacular that even the long-gone sailor dance unit returned in front of the parade's most memorable original float, Steamboat Willie. As a tribute to the floats of the past, characters were also present from all the films of 1998's "Disney timeline", including Pinocchio, The Jungle Book and Hercules.
ImageImage
Once the parade reached its end at Town Square, the entire special cast of over 110 performers created a jubilant and unforgettable atmosphere as they waited for the final float - none other than Steamboat Willie, before waving goodbye and allowing the doors to close on the parade for one final time.
ImageImage
But, as we move ahead to a new, exciting age in the history of Disneyland Resort Paris and welcome the launch of Disney's Once Upon a Dream Parade, it's obvious already that the parade will never truly be gone. Both for its catchy rhythm and trademark groups of energetic dancers, the Wonderful World will always be here as a wonderful memory.
ImageImage
To all those Cast Members who danced a catchy rhythm day after day for all these years - congratulations, and thank you. We were always guaranteed a Disney kinda' day when we saw your smiling faces, as you passed along the way...

"Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world" Walt said, and it's true

Yes i've seen that, it's not very spectacular in daylight.
I hope they will change a lot for tomorrow, when the big celebration begins officially!

I have just heard the following on subsonic :
Disneyland - Frontierland - mine train - 23 - bobcat

this was used to create the music of DLRP 15th Anniversary....but I wonder where is this music used in big htunder mountain

indeed the pictures of the celebration are GREAT
unfortunately, people are gonna see this great fireworks and candlabration (bougillumination) but they will never see that when they come to the park
that is the difference between DLRP et Disney in the US : when you see Wishes in TV in the US it is what you are gonna see in the park
when you see the video of the celebration in France this is not what you are gonna see in the park, what you will see in the park is just a lousy ceremony without any fireworks....and I don't agree with this policy (sorry)

Why do you think it is called a Opening video?...
and all advertising is like the normal schedule! so every information you recieve, is correct.

On the Big Celebration 12 April they will have a Rope Drop Ceremony at 10h00 featuring the 2 Disneyland Resort Paris Ambassadors, Mickey & Minnie, as well as a small group of musicians and a "streamer moment"
(the official 15th anniversary).
There are 2 Bougillumination/Candleabration on schedule.
As there are 2 Candleabrations scheduled for this day, the second one which takes place at 20h50 will include an additional "streamer and confetti grand final" at the end making the end of this "special day" a "special moment".
In addition, the Cast Member that were there to the opening of Disneyland Resort Paris will participate to a pre-parade called "Pioneer Parade" .

I don't know why you say dlrp gives guests wrong information, but as long as i come there, i haven't had any wrong information. Why it would be different this year, I don't know.

About the wishes thing:
Disneyland Resort Paris has Seasons!
Kids Free - Carnavall / Summer Magic / Halloween / Christmas
Only during the Summer Magic season Disneyland Resort Paris promotes with Wishes fireworks, as Wishes fireworks and Huge projections on the castle are only during the Summer Magic season.

DLRP also have fireworks on 31 October, New Years day, Bastille Day (french day) St. Patricks Day.

Be sure to check your sources before shouting DLRP gives wrong information, as this isn't the right information you give us here!

everything I said here is true and can be checked on dlrp.fr and I guess you already have read those articles....
I am not saying DLRP gives wrong information, I am saying DLRP embellishes a lot the real shows to make it more attractive
DLRP will be using the adverstising videos filmed on March 31 to tell people : look what you're gonna see when you visit us : a great fireworks show, an astounding candlabration show....you can watch the video of March 31 and watch the video of the real candlabration on dlrp.fr : do you think they look alike ?? I think the candlabration on March 31 was amazing and I think the real candlabration that is performed every day in broad daylight is very very disappointing....
I think a lot of people will think Wishes looks like the fireworks showed in advertising video, but unfortunately it does not : I LOVE WISHES IN DLRP but it has nothing to do with a dramatic fireworks show as they say to announce it
I think the contrast between what was done on March 31 and what will be proposed to guests is huge...and this is what I critisize
On the contrary, advertising videos in the US show you what you can see EVERY DAY at WDW or at DCA (they don't do a fake day with embellished ceremonies to make it more attractive)
I love Disney, and I love DLRP....but I do think this way of advertising is not very honest to the guests...and you can also read all the testimonials of people who have been part of the celebrations, so far....
and I am not saying either that what is done sucks, because I enjoy it a lot ! But frankly, if I could choose, I would choose the fireworks of March 31 as Wishes,....and I would choose the candlabration of March 31 instead of the candlabration they're gonna do every day which is less magical
Loving Disney does not mean Disney cannot improve...(especially DLRP if you have been to WDW....but maybe you have never been there and then it is hard to realize the huge gap between both inclugind in term of policy)
