Phantom Manor - Corridor of Doors

Post by Cheshire Cat » Sep Fri 22, 2006 7:57 pm

I just saw a ride through video of Phantom Manor at Disneyland Paris and noticed something in the Corridor of Doors segment. There were green lights flashing on the walls toward the end near the grandfather clock and after replaying it it looked like they the wallpaper's eyes lighting up. Can anyone who's ridden Phantom manor clarify this? Do the wallpaper's eyes really light up?

It was on youtube... I'm not sure which one exactly, but i watched quite a few to make sure it wasn't just the camera messing around and sure enough i saw it on multiple on-ride videos.

I just did a search for "Phantom Manor"

Thanks for the video info... though quality wasn't the greatest I asked the same question? Is it something with security or something like a smoke detector?
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?

WOW... that is so awesome! Phantom Manor really took the Haunted Mansion to the next level even with little details like that! I have to go to Disneyland Paris to ride it someday :) Thanks for the pic and the link!

Thanks for the link Julien! It makes me want to go to Paris just to see the Phantom Manor. In the mean time, I found a fantastic wallpaper to spookify my computer for Halloween!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I have been to Paris so many times, but Florida and Disneyland as well. I never noticed that the other two Haunted Mansions (Phantom Manors) didn't have light up eyes!

Those eyes look totally cool.

Hopefully I will get over there and see it at some point. :)

I can't speak for DL, but the HM in WDW has REFLECTIVE eyes, not light up eyes in that hall.

If you get to DLP, check out the tombstones - turn left as you exit (dead end - no pun intended). The "humor" is much darker and more morbid than in the States. Not really children oriented...

One other thing about the hall is that the DLRP version has skeleton hands getting through a few of the doors (if you check the tops/sides you can see them sticking out).

Reading threads like this give me even more incentive than I already have to make it over to DLRP. I'm serious. :hm_ghost:
