It was an amazing Trip, we got a free room upgrade at the New York, and were made their "Special Guests".
The new Space Mountain Mission 2 is great. Not hugely different to the original, but the ride frees more comfortable and less head banging.
Everything is being done up for their 15th anniversary in 2007 so they is a lot of painting going on, but what is already done looks really good.
They have a new attraction just outside the park in Downtown disney which is a tethered hot air balloon, allowing you to see the whole of Disney, both parks and the hotels from the sky, whicj is awesome! Hoever the price of this is not included in the enterance price. Its 12 euros or something.
I first went to paris in it's opening year when it was great. It has gone down hill a little over the last few years, looking a little tired and with less disney like staff, but it has really shot back up!
It's still a lot smaller than Florida, i can cover both parks quite happily on a one night 2 day trip, as i only live an hour from France. I hasn't got many unique rides like California has, although there are a few differnt things in the new park including an armageddon ride. I think that give the new park a few more years to develope. Finish ToT and maybe put in millionaire or movie ride and it will be on a par with things like California.
If you haven't been you should try it!

Wow, nice! I hadn't been back to this thread in a while - our Spring Break trip to London got pushed to Thanksgiving this year just due to a bunch of logisitcs problems with some family - I'd still like to get a day trip (overnight stay) in from London.
Few questions:
1. How easy is it to commute from London to DLP and what's the best mode?
2. What is the weather typically like at DLP in late November?
3. What is the best resort onsite?

That is great to know - I'm going with my my inlaws who are actually treating their entire family to the trip and I'm having a hard time convincing them that DLP would be a relatively easy daytrip. We may just have to be rebelious and head there one day by ourselves.Julien wrote:There is a direct train between London and DLP (less than 3 hours). With Eurostar you can arrive directly at Marne-la-Vallée-Chessy station which is at the gates of the parks.1. How easy is it to commute from London to DLP and what's the best mode?
Any input on weather in late November?

Well we booked airfare into London yesterday. I'm hoping to convince my inlaws that DLP is a must see and do-able from London.

Now that would be some amazing trip around the "Disney" world, eh?! I'm not entirely optimistic we're going to be able to hit DLP - we have 6 adults and 6 kids on this trip and there are a lot of "non-Disney" fans in the family outside of my own wife and kids.

As much as I love Disney (don't get me wrong.. I LOVE Disney), When I go to Europe, I try NOT to do american things. (No american food/chain restaurants or hotels). I like to immerse myself in the culture of the country I'm visiting. Hey! I'm a culture freak (museums, HISTORY, food, etc.) SOOOOOOO when I was in Paris in April of '05, we chose not to go to DLP. Anyway... I'm so biased to WDW... DLP would be wierd for me.
"Hey, Look at that guy in the Goofy Mask!" "That's not a mask!" "Oh... Sorry Lady!"
My 3 have Disney DNA but the three nieces/nephews aren't - they've only been to WDW once in their life! And my inlaws have never been. HELP! I've fallen and I can't get up!Club33Hopeful wrote:*Shudder* You mean non-disney people do exist?AKLRULZ wrote:and there are a lot of "non-Disney" fans in the family outside of my own wife and kids.
I would think the kids would buy in. You just need to work on the adults.
In terms of Eurpoe - it's overrated! I mean cities and culture and all - I can get what I need at World Showcase!

Ain't gonna happen, folks. Unless I really want to rock the boat with inlwas, the itinerary is pretty much set in stone for touring and it's all in London and surrounding areas. Sigh.

Sorry Steve........ I know you wanted to go..... BUT Europe has a BUNCH of history......... and the FOOD in Paris! OH MY! If you can, try to make it to Giverney (Monet's House in Vernon). I took a fat-tire tour there http://www.fattirebiketoursparis.com/ (which is an American Co.!) It was AMAZING! They also have segway tours too!
