What else do you have planned that you can tell us about?

I'm in the process of coding my own player to control winamp. I felt the current program I use, while extensive, was bloated for what I need. Plus, it's windows only. As SR gets bigger it'll eventually need to move off my DSL. 90% of servers are linux, so I'm thinking ahead and coding my own playlist management system which can control a player.

Hopefully, this will streamline processes and make things faster.

This will also lead to user profiles, where they can save their favorite songs, see their request history, see which tracks they have requested the most. And other listeners will be able to look at other profiles.

In addition, Schedules will become more predominant. Depending on the schedule users might not be able to make requests or only requests from that schedule.

I also want users to have the ability to comment about tracks.

For me to add tracks with this system will be much much easier. Because I know I'm working on this, I've been even more reluctant to add tracks to the existing setup. Simply because it's so tedious.

Anways, there's a little answer to your question...

I was hoping to have a favorite songs list, it can be quite annoying
to keep searching for the same song etc.

Can't wait, some good stuff coming :)

Hey Sub, you trying to run for King of the World or something? Cuz you got my vote... SR is already my favorite place on the 'net, and these changes sound simply awesome. Keep us all updated, please!

I'm just trying to keep this site unique. There's some competetors now who have requests. I need to add more to the site to keep visitors.

It's just a matter of implementing them. The progress is slow :)

Reminder to myself, Show track history: when it's been played and who it's been requested by.
