Something That I Just Realized

Post by nowisthetime » May Thu 19, 2005 10:19 pm

Subsonic and crew,
I was just requesting some songs and after I queued my last one, I noticed almost all of the songs were not availabel for queueing. I wonder "what in the heck just happened." Then I saw one song ready for just 7 points. Then I looked at how many points I had and realized that your system will not allow a user to queue music they do not have enough points for. Now that kicks some a**!!!! Now longer do I have to see if I have enough points for a song. Your system does it for me.

yes, if you do not have enough points, the request cannot be made (the track will become grayed out). If a track has been requested within the last 24 hours, yet you have the points for it, it cannot be requested and will be in red. that's how you will know if a song is requestable or not. And with more users on the site than ever before, you may find alot more red tracks during the day...

That is why I listen durning the day at work and request songs at night while I am doing homework. Usually the songs I want to listen to are available durning the night. Nothing like listening to some Disney music while doing algebra!!!!!!!

Subsonic and computer poker :)

Let the tempo of the music determine how aggressive you are. That way your opponents can't figure you out.

Wonder if any of the "Pro's" will start listening to subsonic while playing major tourneys. Probalby not since people would thing they might be getting secret info through their phone connection.

Pre-calc, no thank you. I will just stick with my algebra. Only taking it so I can finish up my AA. But math is better than enlgish. At least in math, it is black and white.

btw, how did you get the "nowisthtime wrote" to match so nicely on my quote? messed around with the BBCode but couldn't get it to work.

Or you could do what I do and be in the UK.. that way, during the day the Americans are asleep (most of..), and you can request what you like :)

2 ways. 1 click on quote next to there post Image. 2 when you do a quote code should look like this

Code: Select all

http://www.subsonicradio.com/files/subs ... io_irc.zip

For fear of people running .exes I made it a zip file.

I just ran it and it connected fine. You're on a PC right?

I don't know why the Java client isn't working, but it's really annoying. A lot of people are complaning. A friend of mine set it up. I'll look into getting a better client.

I keep getting:

[13:30] * Connecting to 216.110.205.28 (6667)
-
[13:30] * Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)

Do you know what changes I might need to make to the firewall?
