Subsonic Radio

Downloaded 1.0 tonight and growl. Definitely like that it gives you instant access to the stream as you don't need to wait for iTunes to launch.

Just a word of advice to anybody using the Growl for song updates. You need to either install the Growl first or restart the subsonic app after you install the growl. For some reason Growl doesn't want to pop up the updates if the Subsonic app is running before Growl is started.

Just downloaded- looks good!

Ok, I feel really silly, but how do I use this? I downloaded the file to my mac, unzipped it, and moved it to my applications folder. When I click the icon in the folder, the logo comes up in the toolbar on the upper right hand corner of my screen (by the volume control, internet connection icon, etc), but only for a fraction of a second. The program won't open. What am I doing wrong?

I haven't visited the forum here in quite a while and look what I have been missing! I already use your Subsonic iphone app regularly. I'm 5 minutes into using the Mac app and I am in love. You ROCK! And I don't throw that phrase around lightly.

Just a quick note; the app doesn't seem to work on OS X Lion (at least for me and some others.) I'll be working on this shortly. Sorry about this.

For some freakish reason, this app never worked at school yet it is working brilliantly while I'm here in Florida.... who knows!!

Was streaming in general blocked? They may have blocked the ports that Subsonic streams off of. I'll have to see if my computer with the app will be able to stream off of RU Wireless when I go back in September. We can utilize these findings to discover which colleges are disney music friendly and thus places where subsonicers should go to school

I'm staying tuned. Please do keep us posted as I am putting off downloading Lion until the app can be confirmed to work!

Version 1.5 is now out! The link is in the first post at the top of this page. It adds dynamic lists of streams. (When the streams change on the server, the app will automatically get the changes.) Enjoy!

Good thing I waited for the new version to add this to my mac. I hope to use it to get me back into the groove of listening to the streams again since I've missed it. Thanks again for it!

The only fix is that it now properly works on OS X 10.5 and older. If you are on 10.6 or newer and the 1.5 version is working for you, don't bother updating to 1.6.

So glad this is finally works for Lion. I was using an app that went through iTunes but with this I don't even need iTunes open. Thanks for updating!!!
