I just found this site over the last couple of days. I clicked away making Requests (before I knew about points) and then I left the room for a while as some long tracks were coming up. When I came back, I couldn't get back to the site. Got an error message. Same thing this morning. Made me feel that I did it, but that just couldn't be, could it
Does this happen often?

I think there was a down time last night. I couldn't get to the site either. I'm pretty sure you had nothing to do with that though.

I have this site saved on my fav. and I opened it and I got that message but I knew the server was down.

Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.
Love RCT3

Yeah I noticed that too, but the odd thing was that I could still hear the radio... did that happen to anyone else?

I was listening last night as well during the site down time. Also I did a little posting then too. There wern't many people on the fourms but the fourms did work, it just that the the main site wasn't online.

Yeah I tried to come on last night, but the main site was down. I wasn't connected to the radio, so I couldn't listen. And I didn't try to get on the forums either.

It's complex. The website runs at a different location than the station (on DSL at my place). The website connects to my machine and gets song information. Sometimes when the webserver is slow it'll open a connection to my machine and leave it open. When too many connections are full that's when you see that error. I don't know how to fix it automatically. For now, I have to restart mysql on the station.
I've been finding the site a little slow the past few months when loading pages. I'm hitting bandwidth/cpu issue. So far, besides paying for the machine that runs the station as well as paying for internet, I don't put money into this site. I've toyed around with the idea of getting a server to put everhything on in one place. But the problem is that it can be expensive and it needs to be windows (Most servers are linux). I keep coming to the conclusion that 1) the streams still don't constantly fill up and 2) it's still running "okay". If it gets worse I'll reconsider.
Wow, I didn't plan on typing all of my thoughts.

Normally when main site down its really just the site that is tied into the radio part you can still get into the forum just type forum after subsonicradio.com. you can still listen to the station I suggest you save the PLS fle on your desktop and just double click it to get it to come up

or just select "Open URL" (usually found in the "FILE" menu or is an option when you "Play") and type in
http://65.171.80.16:8004 . It'll start to play the stream.

Thanks for the explanation. I didn't really think I could have made a problem, but stranger things have happened.

I figured you can still get into the forums, because I know how websites work, but I just didn't try because I decided to go to bed, heh. And whenever I want to listen to the radio, I just put the url in WMP like js3901 said to do.

I rarely connect to the station via the links. I have the playlist saved and use that.

I agree -- hang in there, Sub!
