Cue List Questions

Post by jkm8113 » Apr Sat 30, 2005 7:39 pm

The cue list shows several songs in the list. Are these the only songs in the list? What happens when that list runs out? Does it play random songs?

I am sure someone with more Subsconic knowledge can answer this better than I can..........but the cue list is what we request, what Sub has put on the Schedule to play at certain times. And yes if no-one requests, it will randomly play whatever Sub has loaded. Check out the Schedule list, it will show you what times the special things Sub has put together will play. Once it hits, if its in between some of your requests, the Schedule takes priority and the rest of your request will play after the Scheduled ones play ... did that make sense :?: I have actually heard some things on the random play that I have not heard on peoples requests. Its kinda nice cause you can hear something and go "oh I like that" and it becomes one of your fav's on your request list.
Enjoy! This is an awesome site, Sub has done a fantastic job putting this together. It's a great community to post in the forums as well, everyone is really nice and very informative on Disney stuff as well as Off Topic things too.

At the top of the "Now Playing" page, it will list the next few (2-5) songs that will play. If you request a song, it will show in that list and play. If no one requests anything, the server will play all songs in the playlist in a random order until a show (see "Schedule" for shows) starts or a request is made.

Requests may not always be available. Sometimes the main server will go down and we'll switch to the backup server for a while. When we go to the backup server, requests are disabled and you will not be able to see what's coming up next. Rest assured, though, the server doesn't go down very often, and if it does, we work as fast as we can to get it back up and running.

When nobody is requesting the system always has 2 songs in the queue which are randomly selected. I have different schedules. Some (like the 50th retrospective) will load a playlist of songs. Some will randomly play from a category.

I'll show up to 5 songs in the queue. There can be 100's of songs in the queue but only 5 are shown.
