Is there any themed music or safety spiels for this attraction? Or something that would be appropriate for it?

I'm not crazy about this area, it reminds me too much of your typical carnival. I don't feel the magic here. :( I tend to avoid it all together.

I enjoy the area well enough, I like Primeval Whirl quit a bit and like how they say "bye bye" at the end. :)

I went on it when we were in AK for EMH back in 2006. It was fun, but I was not a fan of it. I don't like the idea of being spun around on drops.

I must admit I have never been on it. It just doesn't look very Disney to me. Disney rides always have a story...is there a story here?

Chester and Hester are the theme of the attraction. Primeval Whirl's theme is more whimsy and less immerseive then most Disney attractions. Enjoyable none the less though.

I copied this from Wikipedia and their version is pretty much a shortened version of what I heard the backstory to DinoLand and Primeval Whirl to be:

DinoLand U.S.A. originally started as a small highway town where an amateur fossil-hunter found some dinosaur bones in 1947. After contacting some scientist friends, they gathered their money together to purchase the site. Since then, scientist, volunteers and grad students have been living there trying to find answers about dinosaurs. The Dino Institute was founded and opened the site as a "fossil discover park". An old fishing lodge on the property became the Restaurantosaurus. Meanwhile, the Dino Institute discovered how to warp vehicles through time, and thus started doing time tours.

Chester and Hester, two locals, were determined to make a quick buck and converted their gas station into a fossil souvenir shop. Not to be out done by the Dino Institute, they created their own version of DINOSAUR named Primeval Whirl. They also added Triceratop Spin and the midway games

As you ride Primeval Whirl you'll see what looks like cardboard cut-outs of meteors, scared scientists in lab coats, dinosaurs on the ride, etc. You're even getting their version of the bumpy and out of control ride through the bunny hills and spinning of the vehicles. So essentially Primeval Whirl is a more silly and playful tribute to DINOSAUR

The only time I have ever ridden it I hated it because it hurt! Make sure you ride it with someone you like because you WILL be pressed up against them or even in their lap by the time the ride is over.

Ok, think I'll be skipping this one since no one in my family would want to ride it and I'm not all that good with strangers touching me or vice versa  :?

This is VERY true!!! In DCA, there is a ride called Mulholland Madness (will be re-themed soon) that is basically the same thing as Primeval Whirl, except it doesn't spin you and the seating is different...but the same thing happens.

...and yes, good boy Jacca...

Just don't ride it after eating at the Flame Tree BBQ. Our family calls it the "Primeval Hurl".
