Reading through all these posts in light of the original question, I couldn't help but be thankful for the wonderful unselfish spirit most of us here on Subsonic display. As has been said in some of the posts, we all have our reasons for requesting what we want to hear, and we're all thankful that it's there for us. Do we always understand why someone requests what they do? No, but how can we know what they're feeling? There is so much pain and tragedy in our lives, that who can say where/when/how a person may want some escape? Who can say why/how/when someone else may just need to hear something that brings them a happy memory at time when they need it most, regardless of whether that time is "out of season" to the majority of folks? No, even though I may personally not like what someone has requested, or even understand why they chose it at that particular time, one thing I know for certain is that we can never presume to judge what our fellow Subsonic friends may be feeling.
Let's just go with the flow, shall we?

Thanks, all. Couldn't help myself. I love all you guys, and just got to feeling a bit whimsical.....
.... plus, being out on the Mouseketinkler is my happy place. I always come back refreshed and in a good mood. Brings out the philosophical, poetic side of me.
.... okay, now I'm just embarrassin' myself. Let's get back to the mayhem!

Seriously though Mouskedude - nice sentiment
I thought Gilligan was Skipper's dirty little secret?
