Dtuneslive works at work and not Subsonic?!?

So I recently discovered Dtuneslive (dtuneslive.com). I'm a huge fan of Subsonic - I listen to it all the time at home - but my job's firewall blocks it. After registering at Dtuneslive, I noticed they offer a stream called the "Pete Server". This server is "a reserved server for members that cannot listen at work due to company restrictions blocking streaming music". To gain access to the stream, you must register as a user on Dtuneslive. Then, you request access by asking to goin the "group" called "Pete listeners".

Two minutes after I requested access, I had DISNEY MUSIC AT WORK AGAIN! But here's the problem: I feel like I'm cheating!!! Subsonic is my #1.

Can Subsonic get the same kind of stream/server/access as the "Pete Server" on Dtuneslive so I can listen to it at work?!? How does Dtuneslive do it?!?

Odds are he is just running it on a different port. Before we reworked the server, um many months back we had an alternative request server running on a different port. There was some confusion with that stream so I removed it. I will post a news post and see if there is demand for a different port. If so I will see what I can do.

I understand there's competition out there but, man, dtuneslive makes it a pain to access parts of their site because you have to register/login to access all the stuff.
Done ranting. :)

We'll try to get another port set up. :)
