How does Play time work?

Post by sag746 » Feb Mon 22, 2010 12:12 pm

I have a question about my alotted play time points. If I am down to my last 500 credits and request a song for 400+, am turned down stating that my request can not be accepted. hy is this. If I have enough credits I should be able to use them all up when chosing.
Hope you have a great day

That might be due to the 30 minute rule. Each user, is only allowed to have 30 minutes of tracks allowed in the queue at one time. If you currently have tracks in the queue, and the total time of the track that you are trying to request puts you over 30 minutes, then the system will not allow you to request that track. Please note that your first track to request can be over 30 minutes, but that will have to clear to the queue before requesting anything else.

The rule was put into place to prevent any one user monopolozing the entire queue, denying others any chance to request tracks they would like to hear. The rule gives everyone a fair chance to request music. Without that rule, some of us could fill the entire day with requested tracks given how many points we have.
