Using alternate approved players

Post by Pluto23 » Feb Sun 21, 2010 8:13 pm

I am having issues with Media Player, so I am looking at an alternate. After an update a week ago, I get "running low on memory, quit some programs" even though nothing is running. I use & really like VLC, but it appears to have stream capture. I also have a Nero player, but it is probably video.

Any thoughs? I would prefer to use what I have and not download another player. I can play the 64 stream, so it is just the 96. Very odd.

I personally have never had any issues with iTunes. It is consistent and pretty much comes installed on every computer.

If not, it's pretty easy to download and install iTunes, and this comes from a guy who's not a "techie" kind of guy.

So now the 96 stream is working just fine. Its always something with these computers. I can't wait for the day when you just turn them on, they work in 5 seconds, and they work until you turn them off.

Yep, I've been a long time Winamp user. I always recommend it.

I use winamp at work because its already set as the default. At home, Media Player seems to work fine. :)

winamp works well for us too - I would guess if you can listen to the 64 ok but not the 96 it is more of a speed thing with your computer? I was just tickled when broadband became available in our neck of the woods. Before that, listening on dial-up was just impossible
