"In honor of Disneyland's 50th Anniversary, Disney is releasing a fantastic 6-CD set containing the very best music associated with Disneyland! You get nearly 8 hours of music in an elaborately boxed set with a 72-page hardback book included.
There will be 5000 "Limited Edition" sets sold at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and online. The price of the "Limited Edition" version is the same as the non-limited version ($125), but with the Limited Edition version, you get a golden vinyl record included. I also just read on a forum at WDWMagic.com that there will be a 2-disc WDW music set as well. See

It looks like a lot of the music is retro, and most of it has been released in some form on other CD's anyway.
I'm still curious as to what will be on this 1-Disc national release CD:

I have alot of these on other CD's I have. I think I'll wait until we go in July and take my chances to see what they look like.

Word on the street is it will be in the parks as of tomorrow, and not on Disney Direct until September. Blah. I will be at the park tomorrow, so I will post back if it is there.

Interesting how many different versions of release dates for this CD are out and about. Mousesavers.com was reporting that it would be available for pre-sale today. It isn't.
Someone posted on WDWMagic.com that someone at Disney Direct said that the CD would be available for order on May 2.
I'd say that we'll have to wait at least a week till the release. Personally, I'm not too worried about getting one of the limited editions. I'd just be happy to have the 6 CDs.

It says it is unavailable online, but many people have called it and got it. Mention free shipping if you call. They are not supposed to give it to you, because it is for online orders, but if you ask I hear they are honoring it. I guess they also had a very small number at DL, but sold out by afternoon. Hopefully they will have more today. Just about to leave. 7-hour drive!
