Hmm I always thought that it did display what was playing on the Background stream. I know that on itunes it does display the title of the track that is playing. If I may ask, which player are you using to listen to the stream?

You should be able to see the name of it when it is playing. I know when I use Winamp it will say what track is currently playing.

The background stream just picks random tracks, so we have no set playlist. You can use winamp so you can see the track name, or come into chat when the track is playing and we can get you the track name.

I don't know about Mousekedude, but I use media player and I don't see the track names when I am on any of the other streams.
Mousekedude, I think I know which one you're talking about and I know I heard it on the request stream a couple of days ago...unfortunately, I don't remember which loop it was part of. If I do remember, I'll let you know.

Thanks, everyone for your responses. I normally use Media Player, so I guess that's the reason. I'll try using iTunes or winamp next time and see if that makes a difference.

Len90, you were right. I tried using iTunes, and it worked! Thanks!
I don't have winamp on my computer, so iTunes will be my default player now when I'm listening to the "Background" stream.
Thanks again, everyone.

Glad I was able to help you out. iTunes will display the track title playing for all the streams.

Winamp is freeware and really easy to download. Go to this site:

It's always funny when people have issues like this and the result is just a lame Microsoft product. Once again, Microsoft makes a product that a little less good than other products.
I've been using Winamp forever! It's free, it's small, it's non-intrusive, and it works.

I have a buddy who has sent me a copy of unbuntu. I'm waiting till I get a hard drive to put it on. I'm really good with hardware (I built my computer and fix me friends machines), but I'm just not sure of myself.
