sub

just make a bookmark to the stream you want, minus the playlist.pls. Then go to the bookmark. It will ask you to open, save, or cancel, just pick open and it will open in the media player.

We are working on adding SR to BB officially. Check out http://www.nobexrc.com/

otherwise on your BB for now you can navigate to
http://tinyurl.com/subbb

click on open

Works great also it is the 24k stream to help with buffering issues

Would this also work on other cell phones?

My service provider is ATT and just got an Xenon.

Maybe we need to make a sticky on how to do this? This way this question wont get asked over and over for each phone. Althogh it maybe different for each phone and provider, I am not sure about that. So it maybe a good idea or not.

For those with an iPhone - the stream can be played right in Safari. Just click one of the links on subsonicradio.com.

On the iphone, I found you have to upgrade to 3.0 (or buy a 3GS) to have the ability to play sub in safari. That was the first thing I noticed after I updated! Honestly, I am very hesitant to switch to a BB from an iphone b/c of the ease of listening to internet streams!

It's the 3.0 update.

I have a blackberry curve 8900 and the nobex app seems to work fine for me. I love listening to Subsonic on my commute.

I also find that yourmuze.fm also works fine. It looks as if that website would work on more phones. You can also add stations to stream and even change the streaming speed.

I just tried the tinyurl link above and it worked great on my Storm (9530). The Nobex app works, and I've added the station, but I keep getting an IOException when it tries to play the stream. Of course, it plays the advertisements just fine... Are there any updates on a Blackberry app?

I just found a way to do it - use www.yourmuse.fm. Create an account and then add a station. Search for "subsonic" and you'll find that many people have already set up streams for subsonic radio. Then, on your blackberry, go to m.yourmuse.fm in your browser. Log on and then choose one of the streams and it will launch the media player and play the stream in blackberry format.

I did this on my Tour (Verizon) so it should work for most recent blackberrys...
