How come I have sufficient points credited to play a request, but I get a message stating that there are not sufficent points available. Case in point: this morning I had 223 points available and wanted to play a request that was labeled 185 points. I could not download this request.
Am I missing something?
Thank you

Did you know there is a 30 minute limit? You can't request total amount of tracks that add up to 30 minutes total..perhaps that was the message that you received?

Pretty much what packwing has said. You'll have to wait 30 minutes before being able to request again.

Also, it is possible that the song is on "cooldown" When a song it chosen, it cant be chosen again until that cooldown is over.. I think it is like 3.5 days or something. I am not 100% sure exactly how long it is.
Was it red with a time or was it green and said now?

It's about 3.5 days, I believe, before you will be able to request said song again.

That sounds about right. I have never been able to figure it out exactly. It seems to be a rather random amount of time. I would love to hear from the admins what the time is and how it was decided upon.

Subsonic has come up with the time, but there is no set schedule. In his own words, the time is "about 3.5 days". it could be a little more than that, or a little less. this is to discourage people requesting tracks at the exact same time every couple of days.

Ahh it all makes sense now, I was wondering about the interval before a song could be requested again.

Overall, it's seemed to work. And yes, it's "around 3.5" days so people can't camp on the song and request it at the same time. I know I haven't been around much and the system could be improved but we DO have plans to make SR better. When, is the question.

So they are all about 3.5 days? I always assumed that the more popular tracks took longer to refresh and the less popular took less time. Of course I hardly ever request anything since I usually listen to the schedule or the BGM so I never really payed attention to it.

No, it goes for all the tracks depending on the time they were requested. That way it would be fair for everyone.

Sub and js3901 have both said before if you really, really need to hear a track, they might put in a special request for you.

While I do understand that you do not want an exact time so people will not choose a track at the same time, I do have to admit that maybe around 3.5 days may be a bit too long. I usually only listen at work, and that means that if I am lucky, I *MAY* get to hear a favorite song once a week.
I know you are talking about putting in a special request, but since I am at work, I really can't do that.
Would it be a terrible thing to lessen the time to about 2.5 days, or maybe even about 2 days? Obviously you would want to do the same "about" time so people wont choose things at the same time each day.
So, what do you say?
