How does one add a pic to a post?

clicking "FAQ" in the forum toolbar (on the top of all forum pages between "Private Messages" and "Memberlist" can help with questions such as this. in fact, you can click here for the answer.
basically, you have to have the image hosted off-site (Photobucket is good. as is imageshack, webshots, or a multitude of other sites. these you'll have to research which works best for you on your own). then, you would use the [img] tag and the picture will be shown.
Just remember to resize the picture so people with smaller resolution screens don't have to scroll alot to see it.
