Suggestion for time remaining

Noting that the 30 minutes rule is generally more restrictive than the number of points I have (at least, where I am with posts it is - I almost never run out of points anymore), I think it may be useful to have something saying how much time I have left to request under that rule. You know, like the little table right under our username that lists how many points we have, how much time left until we get some back, and how much certain tracks have left to regenerate; also include something for how much time we have left under the 30 minutes. I'm a math guy, but I still have trouble keeping track of how much I can still request, and the only message given is "You have exceeded your 30 minutes" not "You can only request something X:XX long". I don't know how difficult this would be, I just think it would be a bit helpful.

That's a great idea! Depending on how hard that would be?! I really have no computer sense. But, that sounds like a good idea!

well, a couple of your ideas are already in place. You should already have the amount of points you have left right under your name on the left hand toolbar. also, right under there are the sliders which show you the points you used. if you put your mouse over those sliders, it will tell you the exact track you requested, along with when that track is requestable again, and when you'll get the points back.

the only thing that's not in place is the "how much time left out of 30 minutes" thing. I'm no programmer, so I'm not sure how hard that is to code. maybe a programmer could answer this part...?

DUH! I didn't realize I could put my mouse over the sliders and get that info. We learn something new everyday! I feel silly now!

Thanks js3901!

lol - what I meant was implement the "how much time left out of 30 minutes" thing, as everything else was already implemented. I knew I was stumbling over myself here.... In any case, I know programming (just probably not this language), and I would assume that if there is a measure to limit to 30min, there's some variable tracking either how much time has been requested or how much time is left - and those add to 30min. So it seems reasonable to me to just display that ... but I dunno, there could be something here I'm not seeing.

I like that idea, it could help when you plan out your requesting. If it's too much work, then pen, paper, and a calculator will be fine with me!!!
