Notation that I've posted here before

I have a suggestion (and if this already exists and I'm just dumb, I apologize  ).

It would be great if the thread icons that make you aware if there are new posts (orange instead of white) and if it's a popular thread (flashing or whatever that is) could also somehow tell you if you've posted in the thread.

Unlike many other message boards, threads on this site seem to stick around and get posted in for years (which is great actually). The problem is, I often forget if I've already posted in the thread previously.

Is it possible to have some indication of that in the icon? Like an arrow or underline or something? I get I can look in my profile to see my previous posts, which is fine. It just navigates you away from the forum.

There are indicators to let you know if its a new post.

Scroll all the way to the bottom of a category, like General and you will see a key. new posts are in orange. New posts that blink are popular.

As for if you have already posted we don't have anything except in the profile.

I used this forum for quite some time before I noticed the View posts since last visit link at the top. That's most useful thing here (other than me, of course).

there's also an icon of an orange page with an arrow in front of the thread title to show there are new posts. if you click the icon, it will take you to the most recent posts. if you click the title, it'll take you to the beginning of the thread.

It took a while before I noticed the little orange icons in the threads which show you the first new post, but that's an even better trick. Thanks, js!

helps that I've been an admin for a long time and have had the opportunity to try just about every feature available in the forums.
