MUSIC VIDEOS

So we all love this site and its amazing what the they have doen with it, but how cool would it be it with the music came video or picture slide shows of what was playing. For example, your listening to area music from new orleans square and you looking at pictures or video from that themed area! Let me know what you think of that idea...

Yes that would be awesome but the server space required would be..........lets just say Sub would have to hit the lottery to afford them. If there was a way of doing it I would be glad to lend my support to it.

That'd be so cool. I'd rarely be able to use it though; to echo trekty, I listen mainly at work and as much as I'd like to, I can't have a constant Disney slide show on my screen. I would imagine it'd cause problems with the server/server lag too. Neat idea though.

Isn't it funny how many of us there are!? People who love to dream about being in Disney!
Maybe someday this radio station along with slides/video could be played out of say a picture frame on your desk at work!!! Dare to dream!!!

yeah i love the thought of being able to wake up walk out my front door and be looking at my favorite spot in the park listening to the music is great but visually it can take you any where

The only other online radio I listen to is Radio Paradise, they're pretty eclectic, although you won't hear any Disney tracks

They have functionality like this, but it is used in conjunction with Snapp Radio, which can be found at this link:

What Snapp Radio does is search Flickr for the artist, song, lyrics, etc (it has an intricate algo, I'm sure) and displays two photos at a time for the song that's playing. They stay up for about 8 seconds and then a new photo comes in (you can change the settings as well). It's really cool because sometimes you'll get pictures of the artist or album cover, and then next you'll get a really beautiful landscape shot that speaks to the song.
Anyway, it might be interesting to see if Snapp would consider hosting one of these for Subsonic. I think it would be worth it to have someone officially Subsonic contact them and at least discuss the possibilities. That way, Sub wouldn't have to pay for the servers and we could still get the functionality. Thanks!

A great idea but I understand the server etc. issues. I think it might be a bit of a distraction anyway.

I have a slideshow of hundreds (if not thousands) of pics I took at the parks over the years. It's my screensaver. Both here at the office and at home. So, all idle moments (longer than 1 minute!) are already filled with my favorite music AND my favorite pictures.

Same here. I have an iPhoto slideshow of our last Disney vacation set to some of my favorite Disney music. It makes a great temporary escape.
