Howdy,
I was just wondering if people had stories to share as to why their request what they do on Subsonic. For instance, I see a certain person requests tracks from The Living Seas without fail. Someone else requests Horizons tracks consistently... and nothing else, at least as I have seen.
So, what's the story behind your consistent choice? Or is it just that you really like that attraction/track?
Just wondering!

Mostly because I love the specific ride when I request mine or they're something I remember hearing once and I wanted to hear it again.

Hmm. I request a variety of things but some things definitely more than others. Usually I pick on stuff that I like that doesn't get requested too much. For instance, I love the Horizons tracks, but lots of people request those so I don't have to if I want to hear it. The China circlevision movie (as another example) doesn't get as much love, so that probably comes up more in my recent requests than other things, if that makes sense.

For me, it's either an attraction that has some kind of sentimental value or just a particular piece of music that I enjoy hearing over and over again.

For me, I pick the tracks of the main attractions I like (or at least like the music too). I do wonder about the people who request the safety announcements etc. although some of them are very funny (the announcements, not the people LOL)

I pick "Listen to the Land" tracks. Brings back good memories of riding that ride when it first opened and being amazed at what I saw.

I really like the ragtime piano tracks and, if I can ever catch it before it is temporarily out of order, the old spaceship earth tracks. I'm so sad they changed the soundtrack. Maybe it will show up in the Yesterland schedule.

The memories of shows and attractions that are now gone are wonderful, aren't they?

As for me, i pick tracks as if i were actually visiting DL and walking through the park. For example..ill start with an entrance gate track, then a main street track, then i will pick songs to where i wanna go like adventureland area music then jungle cruise, etc. I try to make it so I map out my day and select the rides I feel like listening to that day. Its a half a$$ way of feeling like im actually there.

I usually request tracks from the Poly and MGM, the Poly is sentimental to me, the tracks take me to my happy place. Same thing with MGM, TOT is one of my all time favorite rides, love to hear those tracks as well.

bdinger,
I had wondered if you were a Cast Member at Horizons or something! Or if there was some sort of personal connection, because yeah, I've noticed you do select that a lot! (Of course, so do my daughter and I!) We love that early 80s Epcot music too!

One of the tracks that I request actually brings back non-Disney memories for me. The Epcot Opening Special (something like that) is a synthesized version of part of Well-Tempered Clavichord by Bach, something that we had on 8-track way back when. We used to listen to it in our big old Chrysler when I was in middle school. I was so surprised to hear it on Subsonic!
