Picky Wish List Item

Sometimes when I go on the now playing page the list is very short and I get almost instant gratification of hearing the stuff I add (patience is definitely NOT my virtue) while other times it's long and when I do add my stuff I have to leave before it gets played.

If I could add one thing to this awesome site it would be a spot at the bottom of the now playing page saying how long the current list would take to be played which real player does to some extent when you create a play list. Basically it would add the time lengths all together at the bottom of the page and automatically refresh as more lines are added and items leave as they are finished playing.

I don't know if this would be something easy or impossible - it's just a thought from someone who'll listen either way :D

I usually just open up the Windows calculator and add up the play times to see what will be playing during my lunch "hour". But having a running total at the bottom would be cool too, though.

I agree with this idea it would be very helpful. I have used the calculator to add it up too but a total at the bottom would be a neat feature.

I just eye-ball it. Let's see... since it says how long each track is... if I see any that are more than 10 min apiece, yeah, I probably don't request right away if the list is long.

It's not that hard to figure out. ;)

That is a nice idea, i too have had to calculate it before, but you are right a timer at the bottom would be very nice to have.

just be glad I don't request much, if I request at all. I could hold up the queue for almost 9 full hours (as of right now, it's like 8 hours and 45 minutes or so). that would ruin your day right there...

That is a feature that we have talked about implementing. Just have to find the time to work on it. :)

This makes me wonder at what, on average, the daily tracks/track times available are. If someone with oodles of request points were to actually gobble up all the available tracks, how much time would that be? Of course, keeping in mind the fact that tracks are always being requested and becoming available after the 3-ish day rest period.

Or another way to say it, on average, what percentage of the tracks are available at any point in time?

Hmm.

I agree, I think it would be great to see how much time the end of the request list is.

As rdeacon said, we plan to put this in. I just need to find the time. As the site has become more popular, this is a highly requested feature. :)
