Question about posting topics!!!!

How do I search to find out if there's already an existing thread open, without having to search through every topic section? I tried the search feature and it doesn't always pick everything up. I've repeated a thread twice, don't want to keep doing that, sorry!!! Any pointers would be appreciated, I'm new at this. Thanks again!

Always safer to ask, I say. No worries, boilerbabe.

I have tried the search feature, maybe I'm not doing something right?! I'll try not to repeat myself in the future. Everyone's been really nice, thanks!

eh, searching can turn up some results that don't have anything to do with whatever you're looking for. I know I have some problems with it, myself.
one tip is search for exact text. if you're looking for something specific, this works fairly well, narrowing the results down enough to find what you're looking for...

Boiler is not a huge issue that you repeat topics. It happens, heck I've even done it.
It's not like you will get detention.

or worse lose points!
Its the moderators job to stay on top of the forum and just let you know.
The search feature is kinda broad. Might be something that I or sub look into fixing.

Nice one, Dr. R! Hahaha.
At my job, it took a long time to get out of the habit of saying "hit return" when computers started keying it as "enter" instead. LOL
