Font Size

Howdy,

I wondered if there is any way that you could make the font size adjustable on the webpages? On some sites I visit, there are options to enlarge font size greater than the average or small font used for the layout.

Thanks! It's almost impossible for me to read on the forum and the now-playing list for requested songs.[/b]

If you use Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com) instead of IE as your browser, you can always resize fonts. For whatever reason, IE refuses to resize fonts defined in pixels, so you'll find that to be the case on many sites.

There are many other reasons to use Firefox, too... try it out!

Yeah, IE isn't very secure as well. I guess it's quite selfish of me not to make the site "accessible" but it's a lot of work to make the change. Once you get firefox, the keyboard short cut to zoom in/out is control= / control-

if you have a scroll wheel on your mouse, you can press Ctrl and use the scroll wheel to change the font size in IE.

IE 6 or 7? The wheel trick also works in FF.

I'm on IE6, and it works fine for me. can't do the ctrl-scroll wheel in the forums, but it works elsewhere.

Yes, another converted to non Micro$oft. Ahh the power of tabbed browsing and higher security.

So you have Firefox, BUT, did the font size thing help?

Whoa, I didn't know so many people use firefox. I thought I was just a wierdo for preferring it. I wonder why they changed their name from Mozilla. I like that one better.

I like FireFox less one thing... You either have to accept or decline cookies (at least you used to). The one feature about Explorer I like is the option to have it ask if you want to enable ot disable cookies at each site versus having to go into options and add the site.

I typically refuse all cookies (especially 3rd party sites), but like the option of accepting when the site pops up.

I have Firefox. I guess I like it better than Internet Explorer. Especially since they changed the format of the entire window so you have to go searching for the button that used to be in the left hand corner and is now in the bottom right.

Remeber to get the "No Script" plugin... you can make FF even more secure by selecting only trusted sites to run javascripts.

There's extensions for firefox that can do this. In fact there's some quite amazing extensions for Firefox
