How hard is it to add a custom icon to the website? Like when you create a shortcut and it has a special icon.

I don't really need to know personally, but it would be cool to have one on this site.

all that is needed is for a file to be placed into the Main directory called favicon.ico

Here is a link to a ico file I have already done for SR
http://www.disneymountainrides.com/Extr ... dio/sr.ico

all it needs it s rename

Alright, added. I think eagle sent this to be before and I didn't use it because I wanted to use the S logo from the Tomorrowland theme, but it does need something so this goes in for now!

Thanks Eagle

I believe you actually have to add a link tag to the head section of your HTML page before the favicon will be found...

Code: Select all

<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/x-icon" href="/favicon.ico" />

No you don't have to have it. It does help but it isn't needed. Most of the recent browsers automatically look for favicon.ico. That would be if you wanted to rewrite the Icon to a certain page or had it in another location.

The new icon looks real spiffy! Wow, I can't believe I used the word spiffy. Anyhow, I like it!
