Sorry if this question has been asked before...
A number of tracks are listed as coming from a Disneyland 50th Retrospective. What is that?

There are 2 versions of the 50th retrospective. One official, the other unofficial.
The official one is from the 6CD set that was released last year.
The unofficial one was made by a fan. It's all remixes of sounds/music from various sources that create a nice virtual tour of Disneyland. It can be listened to one track at a time or as one long series.
While the offcial set had some unique tracks and amazing attention to space and sound direction, the unofficial tracks seem to have more detail and completeness.
My personal preference is the unofficial set 8)

I agree, I think the unoffical set is better, both sets are great though.
I'm just waiting for someone to ask me to play it in it's entirety again.

Thanks for the info! I thought the Almighty Goggle had failed me in my search for info on where I could get my grubby little hands on a copy.
I LOVE the extended versions of the attractions like Jungle Cruise and Indiana Jones. And I LOVE this site!

Unofficial set? Did I miss something? Is it available anywhere else?

Yes, yes, and no 8)
We should replay it again in a series on the scheduled stream. 1 cd per week for the next 12 weeks. That was fun last time we did that.

Thanks Sockfire. Sounds cool!
Is the unofficial one originally from this site?

I'll see. It's not too easy to rearrange the schedules. Also, I busy with Halloween.
Though, it shouldn't be too bad if I just stay on top of it.

No, I don't think so. I seem to remember reading something about it being done by the guy from MicaAge, but I can't remember too well anymore.
