Has anyone else noticed that the random queue has been playing happy hallowishes and Haunted Mansion stuff a lot? Don't get me wrong...I love it all but I think I've heard "Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize" about a hundred times today.

I noticed that today too. It seemed like the automatic que system was choosing in groups from the same area. I don't think I heard any repeats though.
I also noticed the columns showing the times requested and times played look like they reset because they are all showing 0's, 1's and 2's.

the system is automatically set up to play the least requested songs when there are no requests (on random). As these all have the 0s, 1s, and 2s, they'll be the ones played. This is to help get a little variety in the queue.

Even when I go to the request pages for selecting tracks everything is showing up with low numbers.

Rlohnes is right. If you look at the top 25 requests they all are low numbers. Something must have gotten reset.

Variety is the spice of life
I used to look for ones that had only 1 play or less than 5 and request them just to hear what they were. Some I ended up really liking, the others I left for the auto queue up

I'm making changes, one of those I made required a complete reload of all the tracks, thus resetting the times requested.
Also, there's another glitch in the system where It's not playing the least fequently played track. It's now supposed to be "random" but it's randomness sucks. Sorry.

Is the randomness like on the Ipod's. Their random is horrible. My brother has 230 albums on his and the darn thing plays 3 out of 5 are from the same album.

I set it back to "least frequently played." I hope it doesn't break. It could have been that, when I reloaded ALL the tracks, they all had the same time on them.

Yea ipod's random shuffle is weird, it seems like for a whole week no matter what there's always a handful of songs you'll hear 12 times in the course of the week despite you having 3,000+ songs and then those handful are replaced by a new handful the next week.
I also had a question about the auto-select. There are sometimes I request say six tracks and I see on the request line all six to run together back to back, but while I'm listening I'll hear a track I know I didn't request in the middle of my group and I go and check and a mystery track popped in. Is that you Sub just making a request or is that something else happening?

That's Sub. He's sneaky like that
Go Cambridge, MA! I'll be a proud resident for about 6 more days!

That's probably me or addlema logging into the server and adding a song or two into the list. I try and add them after the requests, but if I want to hear something now, I'll queue it first

It seems like there are a lot of duplicate tracks. This may be why. I think there are 2 "Star Tunnel" Tracks, two Universe of energy exit loops that are nearly the same, and many versions of various other songs. You could just be hearing something very similar. I know that some people like to request a bunch of songs from the same attraction in a row. Right now I am enduring about 45 minutes of tiki room music.
