You know what would be outstanding?!

Not being a techie, I'm wondering if there are capabilities where it could be set up that we could delete our own requests. Say we request a block and then something happens that requires us to depart from the office or computer - wherever...it would be great if we could delete our requests and then go back at a more convenient time and re-request or find something new.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like a good Idea though one way to look at this site is like a jukebox you put in your money and pic your songs then wait to here them. If you have to leave you can't get your money back. But it is a great idea

I think the system is fine as is.

It works pretty darn well already. If you are in a work environment you just have to accept that duty may call at any time. :\

I always forget to check how much has been requested though, or make the requests and then find out that a hour long area song is next. :|

I would hesitate to make the system more complicated. :)

Yeah I don't think this is needed. All seems to work fine now. But I still think a late night multiple request system would be a good idea.

I usually look to see what's coming up and see if I have time to either go for my nature break first then request my songs or if there isn't any requests showing then I will get mine in. I typically do them 1st thing in the am when I get to work and am the only one in the office, then I don't have the interruptions and can really listen. During the day it's hit or miss as to whether I will hear my requests or not. But I do notice that if there is something playing that I find truly annoying I can hear IT and I am like "ewww what is THAT??", so how come I can't "tune in" and hear my requests, why do I tune in to the others...ha ha ha

The idea is interesting. I think it deserves further discussion. There's a factor that hasn't been brought up yet. If users are sitting on the "now playing" page, they won't get the update that someone removed a song until the page refreshes.

While I'm thinking out loud I realize, what if someone else is excited to hear that track. Hmm, could be disappointing for it to not play. I think th negatives outweigh the positives here. But the idea has been added to my list.

I hit the Now Playing cause I want to see what is in queue before I do my requests, is that the most updated way to see what's requested? Only a few times did it come back with "already on queue playlist" and I was like huh?? then clicked on now playing and saw where someone jumped in between my procrastination of which requests I was gonna chose  But it has rarely happened and I didn't have to use my points (not that it matters I have plenty for what I like to hear) to hear something I was gonna request anyway 8) I think things work really smoothly on here considering how many of us are online nowadays

Personally I like the idea! It's always disapointing when I request something and I have to leave my desk to do something else. I do understand the jukebox analogy though. :)

Concerning making the system more complicated, could it be as simple as a little delete icon next to your requests? I have no idea how complicated the "back-end" is though.

I suspect people will end up rarely deleteing - as its not often that I get called away before a request I made.

Love the station. Gets me through the day. :D

I SO AGREE WITH SUBSONIC! Monday I requested a WHOLE block and spent ALL my points, and then I was called to a meeting and I didn't get to hear ANY of my stuff. :( I would have loved to be able to "Unrequest" or at least postpone my own request to a later time. This is my addiction!

You must mean my previous statement; in my last post, I was thinking it's not such a good idea to unrequest tracks :)

I think it should stay the way it is. It might be a SLIGHT improvement over the surrent system, but I hardly think it's worth Sub's time to implement such a feature. The Favorite's List on the other hand... :)

Thanks for the input - I certainly don't want a complicated site or complicated work behind the scenes for Sub - just an idea I was tossing out since I had a client call me during and off time and I missed my tracks. I think the jukebox analogy is perfect, eagle4life69!

It happened to me again today! Missed my requests!

Someone has to let my boss know that my job comes AFTER subsonicradio.

Though - that paycheck I get once in a while is probably worth the sacrifice.
