Help Me!

Post by MansionButler » Apr Sun 16, 2006 12:20 pm

Okay, so I'm new here. When I click on listen (no matter what size) I get "Internet Explorer could not display the page." I also downloaded the Subsonic Radio Player, but it doesn't do anything when I open it. It just sits there.

Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I checked the FAQs and I'm still lost.

I also tried putting the URLs to open stream in WMP and Itunes and those didn't work, either. On Itunes it asked me to put in a user name and password.

Oh well, I've been trying for about three days now, but I have to go to work (when hinges creak in doorless chambers). I'll come back tomorrow and see if I can't figure anything out.

I would recommend the Winamp media player, and try clicking on one of the listen links with the stream speeds on the left side of the home page.

I download a stream playlist from the site, and drag it into iTunes. it says its only 8 second slong, but thats just the intro. Then, click on it and play it. That's all I had to do.

Use Winamp.
Once installed click on file menu, then click on play url (or just hit Ctrl-L from winamp main screen).

Once you get the url screen put in http://129.79.9.25:8000 and click open

That is the 96k stream

The problem is that the playlist files are not associated with a player.
I would use winamp lite. You don't need all the bulky stuff. Once you install it, it'll associate .pls files with the player. IE will then load them fine.

If you're pro-microsoft and love Windows Media Player, you can download the .pls and open them (drag and drop also works) with Windows Media Player.

Yes, I have found drag and drop sometimes works better.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.
