If you leave Subsonic open for long periods of time, do you ever hear something come up in the Playlist that makes you wonder WHY would anyone wish to hear that?
I do quite often, but then I am sure some think that about things I often request, too.
I know I can already tell at what point I am turning the radio off today

LOLOL - I will request something, then when it comes up I'll be like 'Well shoot, that was so NOT what I thought it was..." and wonder if somewhere Sub is just rolling his eyes at me.

I will check to see if the system is in Auto Play mode. Which normally it is. I love Subsonic Radio (to bad my work banned it) I use to listen for over 10 hrs a day and I needed more.

How did they ban it? The streams come from different IP ranges.. Did they ban all these different ranges?
If they blocked the port I can setup a stream for you on a different port.

I have tried everything. What it is is they use a proxy firewall when I go to a site it downloads it first then scans it for virus. it will keep downloading the stream and not let me listen. I'm looking into creating an asx file to play the stream with

Would they prefer you surfing internet p**n? Unless you are singing along at the top of your voice, why would they care what you listen to?

I don't know how I'd get through the day without it if it was banned. I suppose that would give it a more indulgence and I'd have to sneak it.

I can only listen at work on the port 8000 feed. That's the only port not blocked. I would go nuts if they blocked that too!

Bandwidth.
Luckily I'm in a 7-person design office with a 10Mbps connection, so no one cares that I have a steady 96kbps downstream going on. Not everyone's so lucky.
I guess I'm lucky

I usually have Subsonic on from 7:30 to 5:00 everyday to get my "Disney fix". I'm fortunate to work in a small firm where I'm able to listen all day with no problem. If I'm meeting with a client I just turn it down, although several have commented on how cool it is. The Spaceship Earth ride is playing as I type, and I feel like I'm right there. Awesome !!!!
