Composer Credit on Subsonic Radio

Post by drumcorpsfan96 » May Tue 05, 2020 4:02 pm

Hi all! Longtime listener! I was wondering if there was a mistake on one of the composer credits. It says that "Liberty Fanfare" from the Condor Flats area, is from Erich Kunzel, however that song was actually composed by John Williams. Not a big deal in my book, but was just wondering :)

Good catch! I cannot correct that, someone who has access to the music files would. I can post something in the Discord chat.

Any chance the recording happened to be conducted by Erich Kunzel? He was the longtime conductor of the Cincinnati Pops and guested often with the Boston Pops. He probably recorded it at some point. Maybe the conductor and composer fields got swapped :)

Where are you seeing this level of info? We don't display that kind of detail for our tracks. Can you provide a screenshot?

I'm just guessing :) I don't know if conductors are kept for subsonic music or not. I'm just an orchestra fan who's listened to a fair number of Pops recordings and thought that type of song sounds like something Kunzel would have recorded at some point.

Ah. Gotcha. Well, this is probably something we'll never get around to fixing anyway!

Hi ! Newbe here, and glad to have been indicated this site. Well done !
Is there a list of tracks+composers? I'm a long time Goldsmith/Williams/Horner/Giacchino etc listener, and I'd like to find out all the exclusive tracks they recorded for the theme parks. THanks !

Hi Zynta, welcome aboard! No, there's no searchable list by composer, unfortunately. I think a lot of the scores you like will probably be found in the Epcot loops.
