Hey all, I have a design project for you all.

I'd like for there to be one icon/logo for each of our streams. Think along the lines of the old EPCOT attraction logos. Black & White, linedrawn or pixelart. Something that you can look at and go "that's Background" or "That's Star Tunnel" etc. (or in the very least, some way to differentiate it from something else.

Everyone make some, we'll get them all together and vote or just pick what we like the most.

I think it'll be a nice way to have a more pictographic interface to the site via the app or whatever... or in the very least, it'll be fun.

- black & white (or single color & white) (or single color & black) (you get the idea)
- Square or circle
- Should be low detail. Think of the EPCOT logos. (eg: http://th04.deviantart.net/fs71/PRE/i/2 ... 5k835i.png)
- we'll eventually reproduce them all in a consistent format so your sketch's format needn't be specific. a pen/paper sketch, illustrator, etc. whatever... post images in this thread or if you prefer to remain anonymous to the group, email or message me or contact us on IRC chat.

No matter what your background is or your technical capability, if you have an idea, sketch it out on a napkin with carrot juice if that's what you have. We'll figure it out from there.

Perhaps still too detailed. And I wasn't sure if i would like black/white/purple or just white/purple like the EPCOT ones...
Regardless, it's a sketch. It gets across the idea.
(Just explaining things works for this project too... no need to draw something if you don't want to)

This is a great idea Bleu and I really like your design ideas. I'm also a fan of the simplicity of the head on view monorail sketch on the back of the WDW Monorail Co-pilot License (upside down below from somewhere I found online)

ooh. nice. I'll have to poke at that.

And i've decided that the logos should be square, fwiw. to differentiate them from EPCOT's logos.

I like cy1229's idea of diagonal stripes for the Dole Whip. And maybe a more yellow color would be nice?

Main Street will be yellow. And we still have Requests, Background, and Scheduled, which I have no ideas for icon nor color.

and what I was going for with the tiki torch is to symbolize both the torches around the Poly along with the triangular detail in the roof peaks of the buildings. The orange was to symbolize the fire. I moved it from red since the peoplemover has a more reddish color (which is based on the color used in the peoplemover posters).

acp made the peoplemover and the futureland ones, btw.

horizons1- i did try the nose-on of the monorail, but to my eyes, it didn't look enough like a monorail to me... maybe i did it wrong...

I tried a few things with the dole whip. i'll poke at that a little more...

xmas and halloween streams (special, so they get special colors)
