I really do prefer the old JII but I would take the new one over any pixar created movie based re-do. at least the new ride still has the "one little spark" theme integrated into it and It is called the "Imagination" Pavilion. Here's hopeing they dont mess things up further than they already have. (i.e. Poof! ... "wth where is my wonders of life pavlion?"

What do you mean? What did they do there now?

Over any Pixar attraction? I could not disagree more. So far I think all the Pixar attractions have been better then the new JII. I do not think that Nemo belongs at the Seas but I think it's a better ride than JII.

Perhaps you mean if a Pixar attraction were to replace Figment. Then yes, I'll take what is there now over that. :)

WoL has been Seasonal only for several years now, which means that the pavillion is pretty much closed all year long. It is usually open during the holidays - from about a week before thanksgiving to about a week or so after New Years. They've also pretty much gutted the place, only Body Wars, the Making of Me, and Cranium Command are open, all the interactive kiosks and activities are shut down/torn out. the refreshment stands are completely empty too.

Holy cow! I hadn't heard about that. The last time we were there (in 2000), I don't think we went to that pavillion though, that I can remember. :? What's the reasoning on making it "seasonal" like that, does anyone know?

probably the same thing why most pavillions go seasonal for a little while - outdated movies/animatronics, not much interest in the area, general upkeep rule under the Eisner regime.. just let it fade to nothing, or let it run until someone gets hurt due to neglect (Disney's Fault), then tear it down and build the next generation thrill ride in it's place, ala Mission Space or Test Track...

I didn't think the admission would adjust. Although I feel that would be excellent guest service. Three of the parks don't have that many attractions to begin with. But, I still the Mickey and his playground.

If the original Journey Into Imagination had been 'down' when we visited WDW we would have been very upset.

Yeah, I'm bummed about the Haunted Mansion being down when I go in August, but I just keep telling myself that it will give me an excuse to get back sooner than the 4 years it's taken me to plan this trip!

The other option would be for WDW to close like Six Flags and other Theme/Amusement parks do.

Oh, that so remembers me of "Vacation" with Chevy Chase. Remember he had planned this wonderful vacation to "Wally World" in California?? When they finally arrived the park was closed...FOR MAINTENANCE!!! LOL Clark Griswold went a bit 'nuts' over the fact he had driven to "Wally World" and it was closed.

Now maybe theres an Idea in this after all.... what if... Pixar made a movie about figment and his journey into imagination :) then they re-did the pavilion as Pixar's Journey into imagination featuring Figment! Now were talkin!

I don't miss all the figment things. Being a huge Pixar fan I would not mind seeing more Pixar in the parks. Maybe a little Ratatouille in the French Pavillion. :nemo:
