Yeah, I realize that now. When I first tried to put the avatar on the site, I thought that it could be 125x125 or less. Again, thanks for all the help everyone!

Thanks for that site info, I've always wondered that myself. Here's to some fun avatars in the future...

Since I am so new to this message board stuff the avitar is a little confusing to me. I am wondering if you can find already existing photos to use or if they have to be your own originals. :?:

They don't have to be your own originals. At least, mine isn't.

that's correct, they don't ave to be your originals in any way, shape, or form. the only thing they must be is hosted outside of the site. whether you put them on photobucket or similar site, or you hotlink the image from another site (just make sure you have permission from the owner of the site), it's up to you.

I saw earlier in this post a site called imageshack. So I went there and I see a bunch of images. Can I use one of those?? Do I need to get permission and if so how do I go about that? Sorry for so many questions.

Thank You for your info Magique and js3901. Hopefully I will have an avitar soon. I have a photo of my own I want to use, now I am trying to figure out where and how to upload it.

Believe me, it took me a while to figure it out. Just make sure the width is 125 without it being blurry, and you'll be fine. :D

Well, in order to add in image here, it has to be viewable by the public.

hey, thanks for the imageshack tip. i just uploded mine to: http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/1125 ... ropyq4.gif

btw, i think it is best to resize your graphic to 120x120, because SR forums resize it to that size on your posts anyway. if it isn't 120x120, it'll distort it.
