That is correct. The phone will search for WiFi first if it is turned on. I actually keep mine off and just rely on the 3G as I have unlimited data. Correct. Any internet based access while on WiFi will not be billed. The iPhone will just about always use the WiFi connection if one is established for data which does not apply to your data plan allotment.

I don't think this is an app issue but rather a server issue. I believe the server is down for that stream and will hopefully be back running soon.
