It was probably Google for me as well. I have always been a Disney addict with WDW being my drug of choice. I was planning a trip back in 2000 when I left for college and discovered how amazing Napster was with a T1 line. I then found out that I could download music from Disney attractions like POTC and HM. Since then I have collected my own library of Disney parks audio. After 8 years of listening to the same music, I thought to myself that there has to be a site with Disney parks audio on it. I had done searches in the past but never came up with anything. Well...about 6 or so months ago I finally found this dang near perfect site and have been hooked since. Part of me wishes we had tracks on demand...but it's actually kinda nice listening to things I would have never chosen myself.

I found it on a link from SaveDisney.com the website started by Roy Disney, when it was up an operating there was a link to SubSonic Radio. And now that Roy is back as an advisor with Disney part of the deal was for him to take down that website. I think someone took it over as saveddisney.com but I really can't remember. Anywooo, glad I found SSR it makes my work day so much more enjoyable! :D

My husband found this site searching for disney music on shoutcast. He turned it on and the Main Street Electrical Parade was playing. I couldn't believe it! I had never thought I could listen to the music outside of the park.

By accident. I just returned from a trip a little over a year ago and was searching the web for theme park music to perhaps purchase and lo and behold, I found this site.

Wow... I typed in "Disney Park Music" in google just for the heck of it and it came up as number two!

If only it did that three years ago... I remember it was a long night's struggle through links and other back doors to find this site.

it's been interesting being an admin. there is an admin panel here in the forums which gives us a look at everyone that is logged in (including "hidden" users) and the IP address they are logged in with (and a bunch of other options). over the past year and a half or so, we've noticed a drastic increase of indexing bots. Google, Yahoo, and a bunch of other site have been sending the spider bots to index all our many pages. that's why peoples forum posts come up in the results alot now.

What is a "hidden" user? I'm guessing that is different from a visitor since you have both. Maybe a stupid question I'm just curious.

there's an option when you register (or if you edit your profile) to "Hide Your Online Status". What this means is when you are logged in to the forums, your name will not show up to other users in the bar on the bottom of the forum index page. There's no real differnce in the users who are hidden and those that are not. only how the user name shows up on the site.

Well I had been searching for video and audio of park rides with little coming up. Either at that time search sites were not getting these type pages and sites indexed. But eventually I ran across the extinct attraction club site which I was throughly excited about and went to their forums and saw a posting about this site. I registered back then but forgot all of my login stuff so had to re-register again lol but I was here to stay since then. About 2 years ago.

I've been an avid listener of Live365 and one of the Disney stations had an offshoot site with a message board. There was a discussion going on there about the top sites playing Disney theme park music. Subsonic was number one on the list and being the loyal listener that I was, I was hesitant about going somewhere other than Live365(I was very close to becoming a preferred listener) but out of curiosity, I clicked on the link and the rest was history. I came to Subsonic and never looked back.

While planning a surprise trip for my wife, I also did the Google search for 'Walt Disney World Theme Park Music'. It was the second link. This was back in '07. Been listening everyday since. :mickey:
