Best player?
So what is the consensus regarding which player the majority seems to like the best for playing SR? WinAmp, WMP, iTunes, etc????

At work I use Windows Media Player.....this is fine but you don't know what song is playing, unless y ou log into Subsonic and keep the window open to see what's up.
At home I use ITunes, this at least tells you what is playing, but not what is coming up.
I haven't used any others, oh yeah, I did try real player, just like WMP...
Would love a player that showed the playlist of what has been played or coming up.

I am a huge fan of iTunes. I pesonally find that it is more consistent than Windows Media Player and it starts up a little faster. Not to mention that I primarily use Mac to begin with!

personally, I've used WinAmp for years, before subsonic radio even went on the air. While I do use iTunes for some music, I don't use it for streaming. I basically just use it for syncing my iPod as well as Podcasts. all my streaming needs (and most of my offline needs as well) fall to WinAmp.

I use this as well. It lets you know which track is playing, how much time is left, what the previous track that played was, and the track coming up next. It also allows for easy switching between the different streams. Great little application if you ask me!casrin wrote:I use the Subsonic Player that eagles4life created.

Also - if you have an iPhone you can directly play the streams from the front page of Subsonic.eagle4life69 wrote:Thought I would let everyone know that you can now listen to SR on the go.

I mostly use VLC because it's small and lightweight. I also keep the Now Playing page in a small window at the corner of my screen.
