That is the DL version

The WDW version is the Steamboat Willie boat. I applaud the reference to it. Not sure if you knew that before comparing.

Oooh. I didn't know that. That's awesome. It makes since that the boat would be smaller anyway because it's a smaller venue for Fantasmic in WDW.

How small is the venue in WDW? I've never seen any pictures for it so that could be the reason why their boat is smaller.

Mr.ToadWildRider wrote:The boat itself is definitely more attractive at DL, but isn't it just the ferry boat on the Rivers of America? The boat at WDW was mad specifically (I think) for the purpose of displaying characters so I would imagine annafab's statement is true; although I've never seen it and also I believe at DL you're much closer to the show.
I thought the WDW version has a larger seating capacity, but I could be wrong on that.

The boat used in the DL version is the Mark Twain which is part of the attraction. The WDW version has a Steamboat willie boat.

the seating capacity is bigger at WDW, but the DLR version uses the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island as it's stage.

I'm not totally sure about that. WDW has a set number of seats, and they're alot of them, but the area around Rivers of America can get extremely packed. And yes the venue is actually larger, they can store more stuff on the island. In WDW they have to try to fit all of their stuff behind that smallish mountain.

99Soulz wrote:Not sure if you knew that before comparing.
I do, but the one in DL is supposed to be that too, in theory. They just didn't want to build another steamboat since they already had the Mark Twain.

annafab wrote:I actually like how small the WDW boat is because you can see the characters better, in my opinion.
I never thought of it that way. I look at it like this, you can fit more characters on the Mark Twain so more of your favorite ones are there. Granted it is a 3 story Boat and half of the Characters are on the opposite side of the viewing are (they do switch but if you are in Frontierland or the Left edge of NOS you will only see half of them) but you still have the opportunity to see the character you REALLY want to see. With WDW you don't get that luxury, you get what like 20 Characters at the most. Just saying.

One thing I do like about the WDW version is the addition of the pocahontas scene. I kind of wish they would add that scene in DL, maybe they will with the upgrades slated for the upcoming rehab. They are getting a new Dragon and other upgrades. I don't remember if the rehab is going to be done by DL5 or if it is after that but it should be fun.

This is all opinion by the way.

mm, i think that the DL is the ferry boat actually used
for transportation where as the one for Disney World
is just for the show. The DL version is meant to carry
large amounts of people therefore it is deluxe & big.

Yes it is as previously stated by Len90 it is the Mark Twain. Granted it was built before Fantasmic was even thought of but still. The one in WDW just looks like the Big Bad Wolf could blow it down.

Hey I used to be big on WDW, I used to never Vacation anywhere else. I used to do the eastcoaster thing, go to WDW and not even think it was worth it to fly to California. Then when DL celebrated their 50th anniversary my family decided to go, even though the crowds would be enormous. As soon as I went I fell in love. The Weather is better, when it is 90 degrees it isn't humid and even I don't complain about the heat (which if you know me that is VERY strange). Other things I like are the fireworks, details (they just seem to be better), NOS (sorry but I just LOVE this land), Columbia, and much much more. But I seem to be getting off topic a little so I will bring us back.

One of the reasons I said it looks like the bbw could blow it down was the fact that when the characters move on the float it shakes something fierce. I think they could have at least built it a little sturdier.

Were you looking for the Disneyland version (Mark Twain) or the DHS version (Steamboat Willie's boat?)
