I don't get this site AT ALL!! Please help!!

Post by CJMousie » Sep Mon 08, 2008 9:32 am

Hi! I am new to this site. Although I have been a member for over a year, I have barely used it because I forgot about it when I was busy in college. Anyways, I don't get how you use it. Is it true that when a song is listed as being available "Now" that you can't just play it right then and there? You have to request it and wait until it is played?? And treasures: what about those? I understand those are particular tracks you like to hold on to for easy access, but can you not listen to those any time you want? Do you have to wait until it is played on the request list? Please, anyone, help! :?

Welcome to the site CJ! Think of the requests as a jukebox. When you select a song at a jukebox, there is usually a queue of songs ahead of your selection. It works the same here, you basically just wait for your turn on the requests list and then your selections will play. You can see where the requests are by clicking on the 'now playing' link on the left side of the home page.

The treasures requests are pretty much the same as if you were just requesting any other song. Im not 100% as to what the treasures is for since i never really used that feature. But i do know it has something to do with being a favorite of yours,

Hopefully this helps!

The treasures list just helps to keep all of your favorite tracks in one easy to use location. That way you don't have to search for favorite tracks. At least that's how I use it.

Also...the Treasures show up as yellow or gold in the "Now Playing" queue. This is my favorite feature with the treasures because you can easily see when your favorite tracks are coming up.

Me too, I can see that some of my treasures are already in the queue so I don't need to request that one when I am doing my requests. I love the Treasure feature, its one of my favorite additions to this site they did :ccat:

In addition to the requested songs, there are other "channels" you can listen to. One is the regularly-scheduled program for the day. The other is just background or "area" music. No shows or anything like that. It is perfect for when you want to listen at work.
