I believe we have all the individual songs of the loop in the playlist. They can be viewed right here. I haven't been able to find a site like Disney Music Loops which breaks down the Wilderness Lodge loop, though, so some of the tracks may not be in the official loop...

I'm not sure where Allears got this from so I don't know how official it is, but they do have a list of the music and artists.

And if you do an iMix search on iTunes a ton of the tracks are available to download.

That's a new one to me... what is an iMix search?

A lot of iTunes users will create playlists of groups of songs - those playlists iTunes labels as iMixes and you can purchase songs from them just as you would on a regular iTunes search. On the main music page check it out under More In Music (it's the 5th link down).

Thanks AKLRULZ, worked great! My grandmother used to have a record that had almost the exact same playlist as Fort Wilderness when I was young. My brother and I would dress up with bandanas and hop around the living room trying to take down the bad guys while listening to these songs. I absolutely love them!

Thanks! I'd never seen that feature in iTunes... it could be addictive! The Fort Wilderness playlists are very helpful. I have some of the music already (mostly Copland and Dances with Wolves); now I'll be able to fill in some of the other tracks.

Those are some of my favorites, too. Grofe was a great composer; right up there with Copland in defining an "American" sound.

Oh, so true.

I'd love to see more rides/area music get scored like this... Soarin' was a huge step in the right direction (and apparently at least everyone here loves it enough for it to get its own dedicated station), stuff like that just has a big, majestic feel to it. I seriously feel like I'm walking through the queue line/in the lobby of WL, etc.

It's sad for as many music classes as I've taken, I listen to this music and think of it less as American or classical as I do "Disney". :P

Wilderness Loop

Post by marcus80207 » Sep Mon 03, 2007 11:46 pm

I noticed that there is a Wildernes Loop 1 available (more points that I probably will have in this lifetime. Is this the complete loop of music that they play at the Lodge or am I missing something here?

BTW -- A friend of a friend told me about Subsonic. To paraphrase Tony the Tiger, "It's GRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAT!

Thanks! 8)

Wilderness Lodge Loop 1 is rather high on the points list. It is a great track and it is in my treasures. Of course the Loop will play periodically on the Background stream so you can actually listen to it by chance every once in a while.

P.S. Welcome aboard Mark!! :D

Hey, I just got enough points for it, so it's not that far off! As soon as I realized I had enough total points, that was the first thing I requested. Good luck!
