It is random, and thankfully they fixed the bug that caused some tracks to be played 3 times in a row.

Yup... its random, though we are looking to upgrade the software, so it will play random tracks for evenly. This way the tracks less chosen will get air time. :)

I've always wondered how they were chose, my guess was just Winamp on shuffle but I'm sure it's more high tech on that. I would love to see Subsonic's hard drive someday

I'm sure a lot of people would. There are more big changes in the future. Soon the site should be much faster and my motivation to start coding again is kicking in.

I think the big changes sub was talking about was the migration to the new servers that happend in may.
